Making Marie Therese

Having recently made a Marie Antoinette in all her rococco glory for a lovely lady as a commission piece, I just had to make Marie Therese in blacks and greys. I wanted to see what she would look like and had great fun making her.
Dressed in rococco style Moda fabric coordinates she has grey floral panniers over and dark grey kirtle that is reflected in her bodice with underskirts in cotton and black tulle lace. Her bodice and sleeves are bedecked with ribbons as are her beaded shoes. The ribbon theme is picked up in her underskirts and drawers.
Trimmed with organza ribbon and cotton lace she is finished with towering locks in chalk white, feather embellishments and glass bead earings. Such a joy to make xx
