Ellisa, The Snow Queen's Daughter

Ellisa is the Snow Queen's daughter from an old folk tale my
Grandma would tell me as a child. I loved the idea of a little winter princess. Dressed in a cool winter blue
Acufactum print called Mini Christmas Roses she is a winter doll rather than a Christmas one. Everything about her is ice and snow.
With a Rowan yarn ice blue bobble hat and a warm wool felt winter cloak she is ready to walk in the snow. Her stout felt boots keep her toes nice and warm.
She is a sweet little girl with white snowy hair like her mother but with soft grey eyes and a gentle smile. She is a gentle girl, who defies her cruel mother and lets all the animals free from their prison in the Snow Queen's dungeon.
She was a joy to make and I hope you like her xx

Goldilocks and the Three Bears

This is Goldilocks with her three bears embroidered onto her apron. Dressed in a lovely Acufactum print called Sunflower Field she sports an apron heavily embroidered with folk art bears and flowers. Her hair is golden and curled with deep green eyes. Both her hair and her face are hand embroidered and hand styled.
Wearing a wooly bobble hat and little deep green felt boots she is finished with tiny buttons and a sampler pillow.
She is one of three new Fairytale and Fable dolls now listed on the shop, all the others have now sold but I am making more.

New Fairytale and Fable Dolls on the way

I am working on new Fairytale and Fable dolls for the shop. Having worked through my commissions I am making dolls for my Folksy shop. This little Bo Peep doll has sold but there will be Goldilocks, Beatrix and the Tale of Two Bad Mice and Curly Locks with her strawberries.
Just this moment I am working on The Snow Queen's Daughter and then little Marie Antoinette Maid. These are all waiting to be photographed as we have all had the lurgy and it has knocked Reuban quite hard so I am not pressuring them to take my photographs.
Managed to get into the woods yesterday to start planting more bulbs, great fun but my hands are killing me now and we haven't even started to cut back all the shrubs. I love my garden and all the wildlife there in but sometimes you wish it was half the size. So much to do in autumn but loving every minute xx

Rose Hip, A Guardian Witich Mouse

Rose Hip is a little guardian witch mouse of the hedgerow. With tiger's eye to her heart for clarity she spots a tiny witch's hat and carries a little broom.
Dressed in a beautiful Acufactum print called Forest Mushroom, her frock is covered in tiny mushrooms, rose hips and apples on a tawny ground. Teamed with red dot and white lace she is a lovely autumn mouse.
Finished with tiny leather shoes, organza ribbon and a sampler sachet she guards all the creatures living in her hedgerow, weaving a little autumn magic.
Very busy at the moment working on my autumn and winter commissions while making new Fairytale and Fable dolls for the shop. I am just embroidering Goldilocks's apron with the three bears xx

Aster, An Autumn Furry Fairy

Little Aster is the last of my current autumn Furry Fairies and a real sweetie. Dressed in the pink colourway of Archive Patchwork by Liberty, her tattered wings and underskirts are a rich berry dot. A pink mouse with pink ears and eyes and a tiny pink tail she reflects another side to autumn. Purple seems to me to one of autumn's colours too. It creeps around the edges and is not as showy as the reds and oranges but gives a real depth of tone. I have alot of purples in my garden and they are singing at the moment.
