A Fairly Furry Fairy Mouse

This is a Fairly Furry Fairy Mouse! A new mohair mouse with tiny tattered wings and a wand. Just a little whimsy for the summer. All dressed in Liberty tana lawn Wild Flowers fabric variations, more are waiting to be photographed.
We were going to be having a very fairy summer but we are having to cancel all our summer shows due to an unfolding family health situation.
We, Reuba and I, will be at Blackburn Cathedral on 5th July for the Festival of Making but after that we will not be attending any shows for the foreseeable future so that we can be around to help Mum look after my Aunt.
Mum is my Aunt's main carer and Mum is 83, she needs to look after herself too. So we want to be available even if it is only do the shopping, pick up prescriptions or be a willing shoulder.
Everyone has been amazing and so understanding. Can I just thank Tink from Llangollen Fairy Festival for being so very kind and supportive. She has been fabulous.
We will keep on making both for the shop and for commissions so keep an eye open for plenty of new work and we will see you all out on the show circuit in the future. Have a fabulous sun filled summer xx

Verity, A Midnight Summer Fox

Verity is a midnight summer fox in Liberty lawn called Curious Land. Liberty Fabrics' "Curious Land" Tana Lawn design is a whimsical, floral print inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. It features a magical, dreamlike world with various flowers and mushrooms, including daffodils, daisies, roses, wood anemones, bluebells, and forget-me-nots. The design is created with detailed watercolour paintings and pencils in the Liberty studio. It is a favourite of mine and one I love to use.
This midnight vixen has natural fox colouring rather than a black fox body. I liked the idea of keeping the red fox colouring and contrasting it with the black.
This little girl has rosemary in her stuffing with a citrine crystal at her heart. Her features are delineated with hand embroidery and she sports a hand stitched sampler pillow. Finished with tiny buttons, leather shoes and with a tiny tail peeping out of her dress she is a dainty little fox for summer.

Fairy Campion, revisiting an older pattern

Revisiting an older pattern this week. We are showing at Llangollen Fairy Festival this year, which is as much a holiday for us as a selling event. So I am busy making fairies of every kind. This pattern I feel I never truly explored so I am revisiting with a new eye.
This little girl is Fairy Campion made from Acufactum Fabrics which are truly wonderful to use but stiff when wanting a good drape on such a very tiny doll. She is probably only six or seven inches tall. So I have gone for my favourite Liberty tana lawn for a better drape on her skirt. I am thoroughly enjoying the challenge of making so small.
For those of you waiting for a shop drop please bear with me. Health problems and family life have taken their toll this last month and I have the work but I am waiting for Reuban to be ready to take the photographs. So lots of midnight bunnies and foxes to come soon.
