Marilla A Bunny in Vintage Liberty Lawn

 

Marilla is a little bobtailed bunny dressed in a warm coral and pink print abounding with dog roses. It is a vintage Liberty Tana Lawn cotton fabric with such lovely rich depth. Maybe because it is a vintage print it seems to glow, the details more intense and the colours warmer.

She stands eleven inches tall with a hand embroidered face and hand stitched ears. She is finished with cotton and lace underskirts, organza ribbon and tiny buttons. Her outfit is completed with leather shoes and a sampler sachet. Her tail is a little pompom of white wool, a proper little bobtail.

This time around, revisiting the pattern, I have chosen to make the ears a little bigger and attatched them in a more straightforward way which seems simpler and more effective. Lots more bunnies to come just in time for spring xx
