Godith, An Autumn Fairy Godmother

The start of the Autumn tones for me, this is Godith, a midnight fairy godmother. Dressed in Lockwood by Liberty Lawn, she has carnelian to her heart with rose petals to her stuffing and a haze of ginger hair. A hand painted and embroidered face with tiny gold coloured accents, she is ready for the falling leaves to come.

Peppermint, A Mint Mohair Mouse

 

This is little Peppermint, a mohair mouse in minty German Sparse Mohair and dressed in a vintage Liberty print tana lawn called Mitsi from 1910. She has mint to her stuffing and a moss agate crystal to her heart for Joy. I love her fuzzyness!

Bonbon, A Mohair Mouse in Pink

 

This is Bonbon a little mohair mouse in the palest pink sparse mohair. I really enjoy the mohair and love the results. Bonbon has a hand embroidered face with a copper bead for her eyes. She has a pink leather tail and ears and has a rose quartz crystal to her heart with rose petals in her stuffing.
The candy mice started off in cotton cloth but to my horror when made up the pink one looked like she was hairless or worse skinned! So had to have a rethink and I do love the mohair. The fabric is a Liberty print called Poppy and Daisy. Originally a woodblock print from 1910, one of the Liberty classic fabrics.

Nepte, In a Summer Meadow Dress

 

This is Nepte, a little grey mouse with a meadow embroidery to her skirt. Applique and buttons add to the detail of her skirt pattern on an up cycled chambray shirt fabric. Just an idea to extend embroidery onto the dress.
Liberty fabric is used on the applique and to her underskirt with lace to finish.

Blackcurrent, A Midnight Mouse

 

I am having another mouse moment and the need to make mice is quite insistant.
This little girl is Blackcurrent, she should have been Licquorice and Blackcurrent because she reminded me of the sweets.
She has rose quartz to her heart and rose petals to her stuffing in a dark Liberty print.

Blostma, A Rose Fairy Godmother

 

Blostma is a tiny fairy godmother in tuberose pink with coordinating wings and a copper tiara. She has delicate rose wool tops for her hair with rose quartz to her heart and rose petals to her stuffing.
She is finished with tiny buttons, organza ribbon, leather shoes and a little felt wand. She has a copper acorn to her little sampler sachet. Softly stuffed with a gentle fragrance she makes for a sweet little character.
She is part of the new stock I am adding to my shop in readiness for being a Featured Maker on Folksy from 4th to 17th July. I will have all the new stock added to my shop soon which will reopen on 24th June.

Cyne, A Tiny Fairy Godmother

This is Cyne. A smaller pattern, she is about two thirds the size of my witch. This little Midnight Fairy God Mother has a Liberty print dress in black with meadow flowers abounding which is called Dreams of Summer. She has wings that match her underskirt and sports a little felt wand. Her shoes are the smallest I have ever made and are leather. She has a piece of turquoise to her heart with rose petals in her stuffing and is finished with tiny buttons, organza ribbon and a little coronet in her hair.

She has a brass ring to her back to hang

She stands just 8 inches tall with all the hair!.

She is, as are all my girls, warm and companiable with a touch of English whimsy. I hope she makes you smile.
