Craftmas Market on Folksy this Weekend

 

My Folksy Craftmas sale is now live with 40% at least off all my current dolls. All these little birds are now £20 and I don't think I will be repeating them. This sale coincides with The Folksy Craftmas weekend so lots of fun and special offers to be had.

My shop will be open until the first two weeks of December and then I will shut up shop for a while to spend some time with my Mum after we lost Dad this year.

Alouette is a tiny robin lady with detailed hand embroidery to her face and neck delineating her plumage. She is dressed in a lovely Liberty quilting cotton in strong red with a hint of blue and mustard. The fabric is called Cosmos Bloom from the Winter Flower Show Collection. Following the red theme, Alouette has a tiny garnet to her heart with rose petals and rose hips in her stuffing. So tiny, I love her little face.

Adiva is a little goldfinch girl with a Liberty quilting cotton dress and hand embroidered details to her face and neck. Her wings are also embroidered.

Her dress is Wildflower Poppy from the Rivera Collection and picks up the colours of her plumage so well.

Adiva has citrine to her heart with chamomile flowers for summer in her stuffing.

I have loved making these little girls but I don't think I will be repeating them. Currently they are on sale in my Craftmas Sale on Folksy. Have lovely frosty weekend and my warmest wishes xx

Mother Goose at Lytham Hall

 

Mother Goose will be at The Winter Art Fair on Saturday and Sunday, 18/19th of November at Lytham Hall from 11am to 4pm.

I fell in love with the greylag fabric and it just spoke Mother Goose with her mob cap and a little book of stories attached to her pillows. Shawled and clogged, a Lancashire Mother Goose ready to tell her stories by the fireside.

Such a lovely venue, The Winter Art Fair at Lytham Hall this weekend from 11am to 4 pm.

I will have lots of mice and birds all at £20 with all other dolls at £30 just for this weekend. I will also have lots of little gifts, from key rings to Christmas brooches and scented hearts. All £7.50 with two for £13.50 and three for £20.

Come and say hello, it will be a lovely weekend with over 40 makers in such a gorgeous setting.

Dressed in a lovely Acufactum print with greylag geese on a charcoal ground Mother Goose has obsidian to her heart with rosemary in her stuffing.

She has a gentle countenance with endless patience for all those little ones. In a winter dress with long, cuffed sleeves, sporting a little collection of pillows and a tiny book of stories. You can just see the geese peeping on her dress.

Mimi, A Strawberry Mouse

 

Another little mohair mouse to share, all in pink with strawberry leaves and rosemary to her stuffing with a little pink rose quartz crystal to her heart.

Dressed in a pretty pink version of The Strawberry Thief, she is made from German sparse mohair in a soft pink with a tiny pink pearl eye.

She will be on sale at my weekend stall at The Winter Art Fair in Lytham.

I will be at Lytham Hall this weekend both Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 4pm.

Lots of little gifts from £7.50 and each mouse or bird will be £20 with all other dolls at £30 just for this weekend.

Come and enjoy the event, there will be forty makers work to look at and say hello. It will be lovely to see you there.

As always her dress is finished with organza ribbon, tiny buttons and little pink leather shoes. A little strawberry charm decorates her sampler sachet and her dress is complimented with tulle lace and Tilda cotton underskirts. Her knickers, and all my dolls have knickers, are pretty broderie anglais cotton.

When on the stall, I cannot help but notice that most of my ladies check they have knickers, a quick peep under the dress!

Miss Minch

 

Miss Minch (SOLD) was how the lady who bought this little mouse described her. Part mouse and part Grinch, which I just love. Dressed in the classic Strawberry Thief by Liberty she makes for a lovely late season mouse.

I am away at shows for the next two weekends and when I return I will re open the Folksy shop with a bumper sale on 20th of November.

I love the little mohair mice, although the mohair makes me sneeze when I cut the fur for the face - such tiny filaments blowing about. They feel so solid as they are firmly stuffed, almost like an old fashioned teddy bear.

This print makes for a lovely winter mouse. The reds and green make a festive statement without being for Christmas.

I will be at The Winter Art Fair on both days, Sat 18 and Sun 19 November. It will be a bumper weekend with over forty makers all selling lovely handmade goods. The fair is curated to bring the best hand craft to the visitors.

Four Little Winter Mice on a Journey

 

Four little winter mice have journeyed to the Eden Gallery at Newburgh. All dressed in some variety of Acufactum Blue Mice fabric. Teamed with red spot fabric, red ribbon and tiny silver pine cone charms they are true winter mice.

Along with them are six Christmas themed brooches and a few little Christmas key rings.

One has a red wool cape, one is a little gentleman, one is in an embroidered dress and one has a dress in this lovely mouse fabric. Each is £35 or £60 for a pair.

The gallery is lovely with a gorgeous display of work and a delicious tea room up stairs. They have several doll makers work there which is great to see.

If you look carefully you can see the little mice peeping on her dress and his waistcoat. I do try to place motifs in the right spot to enhance their little outfits.

This is such a lovely winter fabric, the cool blues with the touch of red.
