Pasqua, A Little Midnight Bunny

 

Pasqua is a little midnight bunny in a Liberty Lawn print called Catherine Rowe. With turqoise to her heart and rose petals in her stuffing she makes a pretty bunny for late summer. Pears, figs and berries dance across her dress with Staffordshire pottery figures standing tall. Turquoise shot cotton and black tulle lace accentuate the details of her dress. She is finished with organza ribbon, a sampler sachet and tiny black buttons.

Catherine Rowe’s eponymous print is one of the winners of Liberty Open Call – her limited-edition and exclusive fabric design is now immortalised on their iconic Tana Lawn cotton, expertly printed in Liberty’s own Italian fabric mill.

Liberty Open Call winner Catherine Rowe’s design draws inspiration from the Liberty emporium’s adventurous beginnings and quintessentially British heritage. She imagines the view from the high windowsill of an English palace on a hazy summer’s day, with ceramic animal figures and a sketched garden layout of richly-coloured fruits and foliage.

Celeste, A Moonlight Mouse

 

Little Celeste has a moon phase embroidered dress of cream wool on black cotton. Each moon is appliqued, embroidered and then beaded to give a lovely texture. Embroidered and applique stars dance across her skirt and she has an embroidered star to her sachet.
Her dress is lined with Faria Flowers by Liberty and she is finished with little black shoes, organza ribbon and tiny buttons. She has snowflake obsidian to her heart with heady rose petals to her stuffing. I just loved making her xx

Aruna, A Midnight Bunny

This is Aruna, my first midnight bunny. Dressed in Liberty Tana Lawn Hiro, a vintage Liberty print with larch cones and branches before a full moon. You can just see the moon peeping between the branches on the right of her skirt.

She has snowflake obsidian to her heart and rose petals to her stuffing. Finished with tiny buttons, organza ribbon and black lace she is the first of several midnight bunnies.

Phlox, A Midnight Mouse

 

Little Phlox is a midnight mouse with little black leather ears and tail. She has rose petals to her stuffing and a rose quartz crystal to her heart. Dressed in Antonia Bloom by Liberty of London, her dress is completed with mulberry shot cotton and black lace. Painted in gouache by the artists in the Liberty Fabrics studio, Antonia Bloom features daisies and phlox half-hidden within a flourishing garden of leaves
Thankfully coming to an end of all the work at home, she is the first of new midnight mice, bunnies and witches with a few bobtail bunnies thrown in for good measure. So lovely to be at work in my studio space again xx
