Flax is a little summer witch with a yellow hat to match her yellow dress and shoes. Not a colour I am usually drawn to but loved this print from Moda French General. She has a citrine to her heart and lavender in her stuffing. Her face, I particularly like, so gentle yet strong - a steady gaze.
I could not resist a lilac witch with our lovely lilac tree in full bloom. We have had evenings warm enough to have windows ajar and the smell is heavenly. This little witch even has deep violet eyes with amethyst to her heart and lavender in her stuffing. A pretty Lewis and Irene print called Fairy Clocks in warm linen, a gentle lilac colour with dandelion clocks blowing about.I love the purple accents, the lining to her bodice and her underskirt teamed with a darker plum ribbon and wonderful purple shoes.
I would very much like a pair of purple shoes myself xx
I am away for a few weeks as we are sorting out my father in laws estate but I wanted to share my news. After nine months of physio and two horrible injections I have my hand back. A huge thank you to Nicola and Wendy and their dedication and help.I can now paint faces again and I am thrilled. The problem has been arthiritis coming from my elbow aggravated with repetitive strain injury and a huge ganglion in my wrist. Lots of intervention and help but so long as I don't overdo it I should be ok.So in June I will start to list witches, fairy godmothers and mermaids again, I am over the moon! I can now make maybe two or three a week rather than my ten or twelve but I can paint tiny faces again and oh I am so happy!
