This is Alred, a tiny harvest mouse. He is a hand embroidered mouse with little leather ears and tail. He is made from German Sparse Mohair in lilac. He is dressed in tweedy cotton plus fours with linen shirt and yarn dyed cotton waistcoat. He is finished with tiny buttons, leather shoes and a sampler on his little bag.

He is softly stuffed with lavender in his stuffing for a gentle scent and he has a tinyamethyst crystal at his heart. He has a brass ring to his back in case you want to place him on the wall.

Rosaria, A Mouse for the Rose Moon

This little midnight mouse is Rosaria. She is named and her dress fabric reflects the April full moon tomorrow called the Rose Moon or Pink Moon, it also the Paschel Moon.

The fabric is called Elizabeth and is a Liberty tana lawn taken from a headscarf of the 1950's found in the Liberty archive. It has been rescaled and recoloured, this is the midnight version with the soft tones of the roses.
She is listed on the shop with a couple more midnught mice should you wish to take a peep.

Have a lovely Easter xx

Lilac, A Mohair Mouse

This is Lilac, a mohair mouse made with German Sparse Mohair. I have wanted to work with fur fabric for a while but did not know what would work well with such a small pattern. It was delightful to find how generous teddy bear people were in helping me find my fur.
This is a slightly adapted version of my mouse pattern and is still only seven inches tall. She has little leather ears and tail with hand embroidered details. Her amethyst crystal is for joy and she has a gentle scent of lavender.
I am going to have to explore more with this type of fur fabric but I am thoroughly enjoying myself! xx

Miriam, A Midnight Collector

Miriam, the collector, is a little midnight mouse named for Miriam Rothschild and her collection of fleas. The dress fabric is called The Collector by Liberty and it is based on the ideas of the victorian collector's cabinet of curiousity and also Arthur Lasenby's own collection.
Dark green ground with a collection of precious objects in ornate bell jars. Her dress is finished with tiny buttons, organza ribbon and a little sampler sachet in black hardanger with greens and whites to tone.
As always her facial details are hand embroidered and she has rose petals to her stuffing with a rose quartz crystal to her heart. I am enjoying the detail of her shoulder buttons, they have the look of victorian jet.
